Picked My First Lock

WEll today i got my 69 Pice Pick Set and I picked a 6 pin lock 3 times :D im so happy and now im doing a master dead bolt and then a 5 pin door knob wish me luck

well master lock went very well first try :D but i tried 2 door knobs 1 successful 1 i cant unluck can anyone tell me why the first bottom pin gets stuck in the hole is it to much tenchin ???? cuz i put as little as possiable and it still gets stuck :S

Might be too much tension, but without knowing more about the technique you're using, it's hard to say - are you raking? Picking one pin at a time?

Yea I find myself repeating myself.... dont wanna sound like a stuck record here but tension is the KEY :D

Question guys did you ever notice when a locksmith picks a door lock he always pushes the bottom of the door with his foot??? I followed a locksmith around 1 weekday to see i could see why he does this?

That's so that he doesn't have to use extra tension to release the deadbolt; because the sealing foam around the door (cushy stuff to keep weather out and house air in) puts pressure on the door outward, making the deadbolt scrape along it's housing.

ezy, look closely at that lock you cant pick, does it say medeco on the front? if it does this could be the reason, These types of locks don't like to be picked 8)

no just a blank Door Knob ...... it actualy piss's me off now cuz the first pin gets stuck in the cilander and some times the secound pin but when i say first i mean the one u can see by looking in the key way so basicly the Last pin
