Anyone tried the Roller Blade picks from Pickmasters.com???

When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

Anyone tried the Roller Blade picks from Pickmasters.com???

I saw them (http://www.pickmasters.net/roller_picks/roller_picks.html) while surfing the other day and they seemed awful expensive. They look like IN THEORY they would work but so do the fiber picks. I did a search on here and all I found was the fiber picks from Pickmasters.com. If anyone has ever tried the roller picks please let me know. I don't want to buy something that I may never use just for the "neatness" factor. I know these are designed for the MEDECO locks and I picked some up REAL cheap ($30 for 5 complete locks with 4 keys each, shipped) on ebay and I want to tinker with them!!! As I get more time I will take them apart and post pics if anyone is interested.

Thanks everybody...

just by the looks of the roller blade picks.... ummm I have to say it mimics the motion one would make by moving their hand back and forth in and out of the lock... It strikes me that it is just a gimic unless you are dead set on lessening the movement of your hand then I wouldn't buy these.

I could be wrong though I am no expert.

Wow...those picks had better be made of some indestructible material for that outrageous price...sheeshh...If they work, great, but I personally wouldn't spend those kinds of dollars to find out. Especially at $60 EACH!

Thanks guys. I really didn't want to buy them just to find out they wouldn't work! Lots of other stuff to spend my money on that would be way more useful right now. I have called pickmasters and left a message but they have not returned my call yet. I know for the MEDECO biaxl you need to twist the lower pins to align the sidebar but with the spool/mushroom pins in the top and everything else I imagine using a pick with a slight bend in the tip would do about the same to turn the lower pins, or even cut a groove in two rake picks and fasten them so they would slide to make the twist motion. We all know the MEDECO are VERY tough to pick and not really an option for a novice, and probably most pros since there are other means of opening them, but when I saw these picks and the wheels started turning, only to come to a screeching halt when I saw the prices!!!

Thanks again for the honest answers & happy picking...

To me, lots of stuff on that site looks questionable. Especially the Fiber picks. I love
The Patent Office Examiner is thoroughly convinced that the lock picking capability of the Fiber Pickâ„¢ is a valid concept and the tool does work. "
Sigh...... the patent office does not evaluate ability. And the giant add on their site informing the government of the ability to affect a NDE with the picks.... definately not the kind of thing that inspires confidence.

I always have thought that site is a fool.

I have mailed them inquiring for information and never got any reply.

Is the site dead or they didn't want to reply my questions?

I think it may be dead, or just not updated ever. That single testimonial has been on that site for at least 4 years now. I would think that in 4 years, more than one person would be successful using their picks. At that rate, I could sell randomly bent wire, and probably have a better successrate.
