Postby scientist » 8 Aug 2005 10:03

So checking out a favorite surplus site of mine, I came across something that looked kinda familiar

http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/ctd/dept ... XW5HBUB9ED

The top three posts are lock pick sets...and the picture doesnt lie, they are in fact southord lockpick sets

Thought y'all might like to know ^_^

The MPXS-20D is $5 cheaper on that site rather than from Southord, but what I don't get is. Why is it MPXS-20D, why the D. Also, they say that the value is around $80 when you can get it from the original manufacturer for only $44. Seems kinda fishy to me.

But good find.

"Value" is just clever marketing. If *anyone* sells these sets for $80 then it is fair to say that they are valued at $80. Let's face it, why compare your price to the lowest out there? Why not to the highest?

It's like the old infomercial line "you might expect to spend...". I might expect pixies to perform Stomp on my dining room table but that doesn't really mean anything, except that my expectations are a bit outta whack.
