How strong would a battery operated dremel be?

Postby 0rb » 12 Aug 2005 13:33

I have a dremel, but it is battery operated and rechargeable.

How strong would this be for finesse work on a pick? [ie: shaping pick (grinding it into form), sanding]

Any feedback would be great (especially by those who have a battery operated dremel)

Thanks,

Battery powered dremels only work the way they are supposed to right when they are fully charged. When the battery starts losing power, so does the dremel. I do recommend getting a corded dremel. I'm sorry, but I don't own a battery powered dremel(I have a corded and I know you were looking for feedback with people that do), but my friend does, so I'm speaking from his experience.

Well I DO own a batter powered Dremmel and it is a Chicken-noodle-hoagy-sandwich! Get a corded one, the rechargeable kind just doesn't work well......

I agree, the cordless may be convenient in some cases but it runs out of juice real fast if you start cutting harder metals and grind for longer then maybe 5 to 15 mins. Plus it takes like forever to recharge that battery pack.
If a lock is a puzzle, then its key is the complete picture
