Brockhage Car Pick- Does It work?? *Pictures Inc.*

Postby crazyguy_07 » 15 Aug 2005 6:37

i have recently stumbled onto a lockpick for cars, made by brockhage on www.lockpicks.com.

Arnt most car locks, boots/doors/ignitions have double sided pins/wafers, as in there are pins/wafers at the top and at the bottom.
The pick only looks like it picks one row at a time. Or can you do the top pins then go to the bottom?? Considering that you are using a proper tention wrench used for cars. Like this

Dude, you need to fill out your profile, so that region-specific questions
that you as can be answered correctly, as some info that is right in
one country, is totally wrong/different/opposite in another.

That ball pick resembles the homemade ball that I like to make
and I am glad to see that someone does actually manufacture
that style, it makes me feel special :P

As far as information goes for getting into cars, you won't find that
publically available in the open forum.

I can recommend the pick for wafers. (I have homemade ones).
I can recommend a tension wrench of that design, but have not used that
particular one.

Go and read the FAQs and the MIT Guide to Lockpicking if you haven't
already, and don't forget to use the SEARCH button before you post
a question because most of the questions that you will have are already
posted and answered.

Also please do not hotlink images. Unless you have the picture hosted by a site such as www.photobucket.com or one of the many others designed for that purpose, you can just post the link to what you want people to look at. It keeps other sites from getting mad at us for stealing their bandwidth.

Most cars have double sided keys, this does not mean that the lock is double sided pinning, its just a convenience for drunk drivers who would otherwise have trouble getting the key in right side up.

LOL That's the best explanation I have ever heard for convenience keys.

Now if they could just make locks with top and bottom tumblers for drunks with SINGLE-sided keys they'd have them all covered!
