Straight Knife?

I understand they are used to open the locks, but why use one? I have seen this pop up in a few discussions.

Thanks,

It's used to open certain cheap padlocks and cabinet locks by retracting
the bolt in the back of the keyway. Not really picking because you dont
manip the pins, you just bypass them.

Only works on a certain cheap locks (that would be easy to pick anyway).

petersons mighty knife

Postby raimundo » 13 Aug 2005 8:51

petersons has a 'mighty knife' which is used on sesamee or master four wheel combos. I have yet to see it done, but the people who have the tool say it works. Anyone wanna contribute on that subject?

http://www.peterson-international.com/by-pass-tools.htm Here is the knife they are talking about. There are also some other sites that are less expensive, or you can make your own from a set of feeler guages.
