I plan to buy a Southord slim line lockpick set. "Euro/Japan Slim-Line 9 Pc. Pick Set" what do you think about Southord picks?? and what do you think about slim-line picks?? are the picks strong??

Image

Would you recommend this set?

i was kind of deciding between the southord slim line set or a "17 Piece Pick Set with Brass Handle". What do you think i should get??

I think you should definately SEARCH :!:
For the best book out there on high security locks and their operation, take a look at amazon.com for High-Security Mechanical Locks An Encyclopedic Reference. Written by our very own site member Greyman! A true 5 Star read!!

Hi just my opion with regards to your question the southord set I have C2010 look the part and are in a nice case but are very weak and bend very easily I also have a majestic set which are much lighter and the picks are much stronger than the southord set.I get a far higher success rate with them although you dont have to be very heavey handed when picking but when you come up against security pins the stronger picks work better.
Just my opion.
The tension bars are better in the southord than the the majestic but there again you can make your own from wiper blades.
There is always a solution to a problem and a way in without destruction !!!!!

Southords are fine, just make sure they have
the reinforced handles, I've never used the brass
thingy, seems like a pain to change handles. I
always suggest the "Slimlines" they are strong
enough and allow better access to locks.
