I know some of you hard core pickers out there are getting bored, so I'd like to make a suggestion to spice up your picking and improve your skills.
If you are interested in experiencing what a typical locksmith goes through on a typical winter lockout job, you might want to try the following....
1) This winter, wait until it's 30 below zero out, take your favorite lock and picks and go practice some barehanded lockpicking outside. Nothing can compare to the excitement of feeling your fingers slowly becoming overcome by frostbite. For added exhilaration use a lock you've never picked before.
2) If you don't want to wait for the winter, or you live in the south, try picking with a nice thick pair of winter gloves on. It's quite interesting how different it feels....
Any takers?

Since I pick only for fun, there is no way I would do that.
I can sympathize. I used to repair hot tubs for a living. Hot tubs only break down on Christmas Eve . Most of the parts in the equipment compartment are too small to use gloves with.

Yeah, I'm with Robert on this one, I used to install/service solar
hot water systems which noone has a problem with unless it is
really really cold.
Also installing evaporative air conditioners when it is really hot, and
cleaning/servicing when it is really cold.
The moral of my story, is if your hands don't HAVE to be frozen to
something, don't freeze them to something.
Your challenge does nothing for me, either, hahaha.

I cant feel a thing when my hands are numb, so in winter I keep my hands in gloves and mittens, and poke the tips of the picks through the gloves so my hands feel the handle of the tool but the tips are outside the gloves, it works well for me, you should try it.

You could always try picking while you are standing on your head.
Here are some other ideas:
Picking while driving?
Picking while under water?
Picking while under "the influence"?
Picking while dancing?
Picking while running up and down stairs?
Picking while "in bed"?
Picking two locks at the same time?
Picking while eating a sandwich?
Just a few ideas for a rainy day....

I did a charity walk up mount Snowdon in Wales last year, and took my picks & a lock. Too many people around to feel comfortable picking though
[One day, I'm going to apply for the Advanced section, just to see if I get accepted....]

I've picked while under the influence, it's a good way to learn. I'm of the school that says "anything you can do well drunk you can also do well under duress." Booze is an excellent training tool!

I believe that's what "in bed" means.
Some things may be pick proof, but everything can be bypassed....

I'd like to take you up on that Yip, but unfortunately (for you) it doesn't get very far below +50 here, so I'll put this one to you.
Try picking on the beach, in +90 heat, with hands covered in sunscreen, a little sand, condensation from the cold beer bottle and the added distraction of various exposed regions of jiggling flesh.

If it ain't broke.....pull it down and see how it works anyway!

Genius! I'm not sure I'm allowed to even be under 'the influence' but how about a lock that explodes after a certain amount of time where it still isn't unlocked. Pfff, security pins.

Written on paper:
This lock will self destruct in ten seconds.
* Screws up paper
* Throws paper in trash can
Voice from Trashcan:
"NOOooo...."
