Looking for advice on buying picks

Hey guys whats up.. I am interested in buying a basic lock pick set just to play around with, and see what i can do.. Im just wondering what you suggest for a new guy thats looking to basically just pick master locks, maybe a few of my own house lock, just for fun.. I know my front door is baldwin and i believe the 2 side doors are schlage if that helps.. They will probably be changed soon though.. Well anyway an affordable reccomendation would be great! Thanks a lot..!

Well, I don't have time to answer your question, sorry , but as this question has been answered nearly a hundred times before, so a little search will bring up the answers. (Give the FAQs a try, they cover it).

Get a half diamond pick and a hook pick. You can purchase them separately, you can make them yourself, and they'll do what you want them to until you learn a bit more about it - at which point you can choose to expand your set or to discard this hobby.

May I ask why you just want to pick Master Locks? Is there something locked with a Master that you want to open? I'm just throwing out general questions. A little more detail on why a specific brand choice would help.

As for your house locks, as said by us many times before, we don't recommend picking any locks in use(i.e. your front door lock). Not saying that you will, but there is a chance that you may break the lock, and I don't really think you want to explain why you need to replace it.

As for your pick choice: small half diamond, shallow hook, double sided tension wrench(convience really), and maybe a snake(optional). If you want to buy a set, any 11 pc set, or under, will do. Filling out your profile will help alot when questions differ in answer according to location.

It's not just a master lock i want to pick..Theres really no lock im looking at going oh i want to pick that.. Is it possible for you guys to show me a good set? I would appreciate it.Thanks!

If your side door lock are about to be changed. Make sure you ask to keep them to practice on.

IS it possible for you to find a good set? We'd really appreceate it. You don't need to be spoon fed - you're smart enough to use your browser so you're smart enough to research and find your own set.

sounds to me that this member has looked and is wanting advice on what to get so he/she doesnt fall in to the newbie trap of buying a huge set they wont use half of.
my advice is to get a small set about 6 or 7 picks and pick a brand that you can afford. got to say though that this question has been answered loads and loads and loads and loads and loads and loads and loads and loads and loads and loads and loads and loads and loads and loads and loads and loads and loads and loads and loads and loads and loads and loads and loads and loads and loads and loads and loads and loads and loads of times before you are very luck not to have beed burnt badly on this one
