lol... Yeah.
Mcomie has said he is going to change the name of his "parties" because it has in fact offended a lady or two in the fairly recent past.
I was wondering how long it would be before someone commented on that.

So what do you do at these 'penetration' parites? Get drunk and open safes? Or...um...yeah, that penetration.

Well they get a bunch of safes mostly donated from one source or another and they open them as if there were no keys or combinations available. The more experienced guys tackle the more difficult safes. Dave or whoever is running the show offers all the advice and teaching you can want.
Good stuff I hear. I can't wait to go to my first one.

I ended up buying a borescope but don't have the drill or bits. I guess I'll be a safe virgin for a couple more years...

I have an 18" flexible borescope from SLi Lighting. It requires a 1/2" hole for access, has it's own light source (powered by 2xAA) and you can get a 45 degree mirror that clips on the end, to view at 90 degrees. The newer ones require a smaller hole...around 1/4".
Here is the newer 18" model (longer model also available):

HTH.
If it ain't broke.....pull it down and see how it works anyway!

I got one of the flexible fiber optic ones off of ebay myself. The seller is uniqueproductsonline. I'm still waiting for it to arrive but they look like a steal from the description. 2mm diameter, and 1 meter in length. It ran me $125.
Is a rig necessary for plate or should I just practice a steady hand? Are they worth the money or should I make my own?

stiff they are something like 10 degree to 90degree
they are self lighted
I think lockmasters calls them super scopes
you can rotate the eyepiece which allows foucus from about 0 to 3 inches from the end of the scope.
the light really is not strong enough past about 1 inch though
