The lock is a five pin Masterlock deadbolt, with keyholes on both sides.
I feel all of the pins and they all bounce up smoothly. Than I place a SLIGHT amount of torque on, I feel that pins 3 and five are binding quite a bit. So I attempt to set pin 5 since it is binding the most, and it is very difficult to bring up, and I seem to have problems setting it. Once I do, I move to number three. Unfortunatly I have to keep the same amount of torque otherwise pin 3 will be permenently stuck and I will not be able to press it up without letting pin 5 go and restarting.
Once I have pin three set, I go and try to set the others, and I THINK I do however the lock never opens, and I have no idea what I am doing wrong.
I slowly release torque and I can hear four pins going back to place. I think I am false setting one? But I am not totally sure, if I am I would say its pin 5 or three, however I can feel the torque on pin 1 increase once I get pin 3 and 5 set. So I have no clue whats going on, I think the lock might be somehow damaged, but the key still works.
Any ideas on whats up?
Thanks.
