This is a window latch/lock from a building put up around the turn of the (19th) century. I need to install 40 of these suckers per instructions from people who interpret, "No one makes anything like this anymore." to mean, "I really don't like working here anymore and I wish someone would fire me."
I have checked every antique dealer I can find and several US sources of vintage hardware. My last resort plan is to take one to a brass foundry and have 28 bodies cast at a cost of US$218. Its a relatively simple lever lock and sliding latch that I can fabricate to fit the body. Time to build them all from scratch is prohibitive though. No one is really happy about the price tag for having them cast either. Any help on finding a replacement would be appreciated.
