Hey all,
Just wanted to follow suit and shout to the world that I'm here. The idea of picking locks intrigues me, and a couple of weeks ago I started poking around the internet for some information. A Yahoo search quickly directed me toward this site, and i've been on here more or less constantly for the past week.

I'll admit it, the magic of lock picking for me sourced from video games like the previous discussed Splinter Cell(quite a funny exchange of ideas that lasted like six or seven posts). Embarassing yes, but hey gotta light the fire somewhere, right?

Well anyway, here I am, world.

Introducing myself--

Why i like lockpicking--
the idea of insecurity always fascinates me. lockpicking is truly one of many unknown arts.
I am a man of self education.

Why I joined--
I'm new to lockpicking. I've spent a good 15 hours this week educating myself, and knowing how to pick locks before acquiring and making my new tools.

I hope to gain alot from the highly educated and inform the rest.

hello all.found this site a month back or so and am finding it very helpful
and inspiring.Im also finding lockpicking a great new pastime,if a little
frustrating at times ive been a furniture restorer for the past ten
yrs or so and have touched upon making keys,fitting locks,fixing locks
ect,furniture trade aint so great these days so im kinda considering the
locksithing trade as a backup,so far ive opened a squire combi padlock
(that i found at a house clearance)an a cheap version of a yale,with a
snap gun.funny enough i got given an old key cutting machine last wk
although as far as i can make out its for furniture keys.its a corbin USA
ill post a little more about that elsewere coz i need some of info on it.

ive got loads of different hobbies, and locks are really interesting - when u open a lock 4 the first time there is a feeling th@ u've done some kind of magic. I bet most people in this forum would agree.

Hi, I am new here, or at least this is one of the first times I have posted something. I have only posted 2 other times, but I have been coming to this web site for a couple of months, and I really like it. Good Stuff.

I have a pick set, it is the Southord PXS-14, and I really like it. I will eventually start making my own but intell then I will be fateful to my Southord set.

I have picked a padlock, My Dead bold, [b] My Garage door, a chest, and a brinks home security safe. **** I would like to note that all of these things are mine and in my possesion and were used for practice only and no criminal activity was at all involved in any way, shape, or form****

I would also like to say that I have been able to pick padlocks with my own padlock shims that I made out of a soda can which was pretty cool.
