I bought the 11 piece LAB pick set. According to the vendor description, there are 3 "deep hook" picks in the set. But upon close examination, they don't appear to be identical. The tip of one of them appears to be rounded, the tip of another appears to be flattened with the flat surface at about a 30 degree angle to the tang, and the tip of the third appears to be flattened with the flat surface parallel to the tang but with a very slight dimple in the center, the latter pick reminding me of something I read somewhere about some picks being designed this way in order to aid centering the pick on a pin without the pick slipping off.
But these differences are very slight. Can anybody else who has this set tell me whether the differences are intentional, or are just machining irregularities?
Also, these LAB picks are the only picks I have. Can anybody who also has southord slimline picks tell me how they compare in size to the LAB picks?
