I'm not sure if this is typical of all schlage deadbolts as I have only worked with 1 but it seems that if I over lift and get all 5 key pins locked up and the lightly rake once or twice it picks pretty easily. Just wondering if this is true of all the non-security schlages or not.

All locks respond differently. You can have two identical locks keyed the same way, and they will pick differently. Sometimes they are very easy, and sometimes they are not.

Some things may be pick proof, but everything can be bypassed....
