Alright alright, so it's not a big deal for many of you, but as a working locksmith I'm quite pleased with myself.
Why, you may ask?
Today, November 3rd, at approximately 3:09p.m. MST I opened my first lock with a hair pin.
Yes, that is right, an actual hairpin. Using the back of one of Ray's famous bogota's as a tension wrench, I opened up and inserted one of my wife's (looks over shoulder to make sure she's not watching) hair clip/pin things into the 40mm Brico padlock. A couple of light rakes and the shackle popped open.
I think this is actually my first time using a non-intended item as an actual lock pick (yes, I specified 'cause I've made lots of my own tension tools)....kinda sad really....
...probably even more sad that I'm actually proud of this....
..not to mention rather pathetic that I'd have the nerve to actually post about it on here, but what the hey...
I guess I should get to shaping those dental tools I scrounged from the dentist yesterday.

Oh well...hope you nOOb's find this inspirational.
