Well, its true. The spacing is the same... So, what good is the 7 pin pick?
And, im also wondering if anyone can help me.
I just got my southord tubular picks (I ordered the old brass ones, and then read that they suck

) and im wondering how do they work? Im trying to pick a bike lock that I bought to play with, and Ive tried the methods listed here for hours. and I even made a key out of the pick in a very crafty way.
I took the key, and my 8 pin pick, and pushed all the pins into the grooves, and then held the 8 and 7 end to end, and pushed the 7 pins down to the proper depths, and inserted it into the lock, and turned, and nothing happened. Im just wondering, if the key has a notch on it, does this notch just prevent the key from comming out, or does it provide tension?
If it provides tension, then do I need something extra while im using these picks?
Thanks guys.
