Hello Guys, i'm 17 and I just got into lock picking, I thinks its a sweet skill. I've been reading all of the manuals and guides for lock picking that I've downloaded from the internet, such as, the "MIT Guide" and the Steven Hampton Guides. But they haven't really been much of a help to me. I can't really get an actual lockpick set and I don't really have the tools to make my own, but I was wondering if you guys could tell me how to use ordinary things to pick locks. I've tried safety pins on pin tumblers but .......no luck. Please help me guys!

Okay I'm gonna put this in numbers.
1.Fill in your profile, so we know were you live-this helps answering questions.
2.The MIT guide requires you to think and there is no reason you shouldn't be able to pick locks once you've read it and practiced.
3.Tell us why you can't buy a set and maybe someone might be able to help you.
4.Without tools then you will find it hard to make picks, even out of household junk.
5.Aren't Steve Hampton's books copywrite?? how did you download it?
6.And finaly:
SEARCH THE FORUMS
you've asked the same question asked by many other people, and if you look around this forum you will find all you need.

Hampton's books are available online in some of the seedier parts of the web - it's an ugly disgrace.

ordaniary things you say? well you have pipe wrenches, boots, drills, hacksaws, and if you search the forums, the infamous, but totally useless therm**e.
Just kidding...
If you want some picks, get a cheap dremel tool, and a few hacksaw blades. you can do it for pretty cheap, espically if you can borrow a dremel

Jason13....
Seriously, are you taking the piss? I have a hard time believing that anyone's as dense as you're pretending to be.
Do you know tootiebell?
Do you know monstertruck?
C'mon, who are you really?

I give up
despite me spoon-feeding him by MSN, it obviously had no effect.
Jason read the forums, and practice... I'm not gonna waste more time with little gits like you, and I'd be suprised if any one else bothers.
Goon: try reading that kind of text for hours on end - yup I did
i don't think this is even a joke, and that's what really p****es me off

FFS Illusion, you must be offering a challenge to Nelson Mandela for patience.
I'd have blocked him at the first sign of "I nd 2 no bout..."
If it ain't broke.....pull it down and see how it works anyway!

hey... I don't mind helping people, but when my help and advice that I put time into gets ignored, that kind of pi*sses me off - hence the flames.
Yes I was far too patient, and it shows how pointless it is to be nice.... means the next person to add me to their addy list is going to get a frosty reception if they ask me to spoon-feed them.
A shame really.
