Cleaning out an old garage for a friend of the family and I find a box of random screws, bolts and misc. hardware and I see what looks like a lock I was told whatever interests me I can save fromthe trash so when I look into the keyway and see some weird pins I know I found somthing interesting. It has no springs and looks like its 20 years old, it still spins and when the pins are moved out of line they still lock the plug up.
This is the lock from face unopened it has a stainless plate about 1/8" thick that looks like it was "taped" as in clear plastic tape to the plug

This is the "face plate" removed from the plug itself next to a sideveiw of the lock.

heres the actual plug removed from the lock

a closeup of the plug itself the beauty of the thing is there are NO SPRINGS to hit me in the eye as usual, the 8 pins go all the way through to the other side of the plug and either stick out or recess form those points aswell. The white thing is a peice of plastic probably old nylon from what I know as a machinist.
