Source for cheap FB 200 motor?

Postby Mothrog » 2 Aug 2006 22:58

Hey, I just picked up a Foley Belsaw 200 second hand. The only problem is it doesn't have the motor with it. It looks like Foley Belsaw wants $50 for the motor. Does anyone know of a cheaper source?

Well without knowing the specs of the motor its a bit hard to determine what will fit but maybe a cheap bench drill motor would fit and be of decent power, if its truly a smaller one have a look at sewing machine motors if the cutter is on a pulley system,

Personally i think its your call, i mean you dont need massive torque to cut a key. Actually a good place to go is a hobby shop, lowes, or a lockie, i would take it to one around here for you... but they might drill it so jsut to be safe i wont :P Well atleast Berks locks &.. wait i wont be rude :D

But seriously though its not a really high RPM motor and tourqe is meanial when cutting keys, something small will do, let me dig up some specs.

I dare you to put a drmel motor on it, you could cut keys in a flash 45,000 rpms baby! :D
