Personally i think its your call, i mean you dont need massive torque to cut a key. Actually a good place to go is a hobby shop, lowes, or a lockie, i would take it to one around here for you... but they might drill it so jsut to be safe i wont

But seriously though its not a really high RPM motor and tourqe is meanial when cutting keys, something small will do, let me dig up some specs.
I dare you to put a drmel motor on it, you could cut keys in a flash 45,000 rpms baby!
