It's certainly preferable to have a little extra material on the picks that you can file down later vs. cutting them too fine at first and having them break.

Seriosly, nice work man. The only thing I see is that like already said, the half diamonds look a bit high...but like already said as well, I'm no expert. If they work, then they work.

newbie as well and made these a few days ago as u can tell from hacksaw blades ---didnt get to clean them up but they work reallly good --
i made another set (4) to replace these today from stainless steel
no pic yet of the new ones sorry -- and they work even better then these ---
