if the lock in question is laminated the template is based on the thickness of those laminations, you need a T with the cross piece no thicker than a single lamination, and then you need a couple more, with two cross pieces, each as thick as a single lamination, and the space between the two cross pieces should be equal to two laminations, and another one with two cross pieces with the space between them equal to three laminations width. there is no need for any tip above the T cross, no t shaft extension past the cross piece. even if it is in the commercial picks, thats just there to try to make it fool proof, but its totallly unnecessary.
