in ontario owning picks is a grey area, they count as burglary tools if they are used as such, and you can be charged for possession. they are not illegal to own, but you won't find anywhere that will sell them over the counter. best to try online.
There is no issue with having picks in Ontario, as to the burglary tools, that is not entirely accurate. Burglary tools encompass anything used to gain entry. Such as screwdrivers, drills, hammers, hacksaws, so if you have any of these things BE VERY VERY CAREFUL..................
Picks are only a liability to have on you if you are found to have intent to use them illegally, so picks in and of themselves are ok.
I would suggest lockpickshop.com, and I highly recommend the Peterson's "Ken's Picks" set. In fact all of the Peterson products are excellent.
