Well, it was actually not a bad thought.... his idea is that if his pins are covered in the soap, and the soap glows under black light, then when he loses a spring he can turn the lights out and fire up the black light.

Like I said, creative, but probably either not practical or not good for the locks.

thanks for all the useful ideas everyone but I think highliters have some kind of acid in some of em I dunno if its bad or not, but it dont taste good :lol: :lol: :lol:
I hope it was a joke, but urine has ammonia in it......cant be good :wink:

I'm sure it was meant as a joke, but cat urine does in fact glow under a blacklight.

some pet supply stores actually sell blacklights so owners can see where kitty has left his mark :?

If you use liquid soap and let it dry, reassemble the lock, the lube it up with grease/oil it will re-liquidize the soap and turn to a paste. Over time, that past would actually become sticky like a bugger.

Or you could go and get a brass magnet. Go to a hardware store to the area where they carry magnets. If you can find a nickel magnet, they will surly have a brass magnet there somewhere. If you find them, let me know.
