its not advanced because its hard to do its advanced because the knowledge should not be easily obtained. The rules of this forum are here to stop people wondering on to the forums and reading about bypass techniques and find out out just how unsecured some locks are.

thats not really the point is it.

If some ones going to go break in to my house the chances are they will use a brick or a boot, doesn't mean i think its a good idea to sell bump keys online.

and to be honest uploading a video showing how to open a car door, remove the steering lock and start the ignition without doing any visible damage is just irresponsible and foolish.

If you disagree with me on that point then fair enough. but it feels odd as you have had a car stolen in the past. i would have thought you woudl be the first person to think its a bad idea.

All the best

The vidios don't realy teach you anything realy. I don't like them but what are they actualy teaching you other then it can be done. I don't see any mention on tention or the like.

I do agree though they should not be on the open net.
The search button wants to be your friend. It is getting really lonely. Would you be its friend?

It's possible to damage any lock when picking. Someone trying to pick a car lock that does not know what they are doing WILL damage the lock. This is a locksport group, we do have many full time locksmiths here also, I myself will be soon. I absorbed everything I could when I got here, I am in the advanced area, with what I've seen I'm glad it's there.

JackNco I can understand your point but I could also make the point that almost any video or post that shows someone bumping or raking open a lock violates your "rules':

1 - this is a hobby site and that doesnt really take any skill. (bumping+raking)
4 - you are literally teaching people how to steal.
5 - it gives the sport a bad name.
6 - you are destroying those locks going at them like that.

According to those criteria all posts and videos showing how to bump or rake any lock shouldn't be included on this forum, or be in the advanced section only.

ill answer this in to parts...

Raking.
Is not the same as its not AS easy as some people make out, and mastering it as a fine art (IE speed raking or opening a lock in a single swipe) which i would never say i have mastered. most of the videos on youtube are people thrashing about in cheap locks till they open not really raking it with any skill. but i do see your point on this and it is a good point. but you can chose what lock you use one something you want to secure, and so you get what you pay for. cars come with locks that in most cases cant be upgraded.

And so does not violate and of the "rules" (as you put it) that i posted.

Bumping.
In short yes. I do think bumping should be an advanced topic. its something that has been discussed to death on here and its something the mods/admins want to leave. and im not going to argue with them and its not my place to.

In retrospect. bumping IS a problem, it always will be. And the more fuss thats made over it the more people will know about it, which is a good thing. as with before you chose the locks you buy to secure something unlike on a car. and spending two or three times the cost of a cheap lock on one that cant be bumped is something i think most people should be educated about so they can make there own decision about it.

Unfortunately bumping is so easy that once you know about it you can teach your self how to do it in a matter of minutes. but now the cat is out of the bag its better everyone know about it rather than just people that are up to no good. and you never know maybe insurance companies will even start recognizing it eventually.

But to sum up, let be fair, if some one is going to break in to a house they are stealing the content's not the house. if some ones stealing a car a lot of the time they may want to sell it on and so damaged locks/windows are something the bad guys want to avoid. which makes this more of a problem than bumping or raking.

All the best

To Every one who enjoyed my video...Awesome and I apprecite all your support.
However to those of you who especially didnt agree with the way I handle things.. sorry...what can I say..
I am not a theif. Nor car stealer. Nor criminal. Only hobbest, just like every one else here. I did not supply anyone information that was not already available to them. thanks to the internet and this site.
I dont see how people from this site want to bust my balls for making a couple video's.. when all it take is a few months and a couple post and it would bethis site teaching them more then I ever would put on the internet. ...at least On my videos i dont offer a deal saying if you stick around...shoot the shit.. make some posts.. you can learn advanced lockpicking. so as far as i see it ... criminals would not learn much from my video....well not as much as they would learn from this site... so for you that dont agree. ...I dont get.... its ok to do advance lockpicking if it involvs this site? and being excepted by some people who dont know anything about you.. have no idea if your criminal or just a regular guy. so dont get on me about nothing..

So you think i am teaching people how to steal.. ok sure what ever you say man.
so i am on video opening wafer locks.. big deal... so i opened a car door... yea thats really going to get the criminals excited...!!!!
you know what i think would get the criminals excited... is this site teaching them how to open a pin tunblar lock on some ones front door to there home....open information on this site...
a murder....rapest.....burglar......they dont care about car doors... or ignitions... they would perfer your open topics about picking some ones deadbolt. and people call me bad names, some things dont make sense.

so you can teach people how to pick a wafer lock with a ball pick and tension tool and i cant teach them how to use a jiggler......your teaching people a skill..... all they see me do is stick a pick in a jiggle......dont be pissed at me .... I am not t"eaching" half as much as you do

You know.. honestly when i posted thses vidoes... i was hoping for people to ...kinda give me pointers... advice... things like that.. but really all people did was talk crap about my skills. or pissed off that i didnt go through this sites advanced forum.. and only share what i know if people they choose.. well ...i am sorry.. ...my bad.

And another thing.. I tryed by the way.... I was going to keep most of what i know to a advanced group but........even thought i met all the requirements.....been here long enough.....made enough post.... offered informations.. and advice... for some weird reason i was declined for the advanced forum.... and for that......its not like i am going to ...just stop learning untill they wonderful day i am excepted to the advanced forums.
I will not stop picking "advanced" ....or making videos.. just because some people dont like it... i understand i am not that great....yes i do break locks.. ! i am no pro.... but thats why i am here.. i was looking for help....so i applied......they would not let me in the advanced forums.. so then... they talk crap about how i do things.. how i pick... say i am lucky.. whatever.. all i have to say is i am trying.. i pick locks every day..read chapters and chapters of books everynight... I have been picking locks for 4 years.....yes i could use some advice..some lessions.. but ... i have paid my dues..

Well without specific details about what these lessions look like or maybe a picture or when you first noticed them appearing and where.. my best suggestion is to seek medical attenion immediately... could be nothing but then again it could be anything from skincancer to the onset of advanced HIV

OK first off, im not calling your a criminal in any way. I completely believe all the locks you open are yours. it would take a special kind of moron to make a video about opening a car door without owning the car or at least getting permission from the owner. so if you thought i was pointing fingers i am sorry that was in no way my intension.

Secondly, in you first post there (well first today) you stated that all you have to do is hang around for a couple of months and make a few posts, then it would be this site teaching people how to open cars. Then in your second post you say that you got passed over for advanced access. so its not as simple as that, it takes 3 months minimum AND you have to have contributed at least 40 or more helpful posts. this means you have to spend 3 months learning and HELP others. This pretty much rules out anyone that wants to steal a few cars for kicks.

As i said in an earlier post. there are reasons people would want to steal a car without damaging a lock or a window. on the other hand very few break ins involve lock picks.

I hope you were not insulted by my posts but i do have to disagree with your opinions. after all this is an open forum and discussing opinions is part of it.

If you if ever asked about pin tumbler locks I hope I chimed in and helped you in some way, and im always happy to help anyone learning to pick locks. but Auto locks are restricted to advanced forums, so even if I wanted to help you I could until you ask in the advanced forums.

All the best
