ORDERING LOCK PICKS...

When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

I agree here; something is a bit odd. EVEN if they used snail mail and went real cheap like a lot of these little internet based companies do, you should have gotten it after 10 days. unless of course the guy who runs the little web-site still had a serious hang-over before he got to the in-coming orders.....

FROM THE SITE:

LockPickShop is a New England based company. We are located in Massachusetts about 30 miles north of Boston. Our company does not have a physical retail store; we are solely internet based. We originally started as book sellers five years ago specializing in how-to books and videos for many different trades and hobbies. Our books on basic locksmithing, locksmith training courses, & lock picking were by far our best sellers.

After a time we were approached by students and members of the locksmithing and law enforcement communities to carry lock picking tools. There weren't many reputable companies on the web providing these tools. We did a lot of research, found the manufacturers of the best USA made lock picks and tools on the market and launched our first website in early 2000.

I'm not going to comment on the above but it's easy to read between the lines. This is a garage operation or something run out of someone's apartment....the guy is middle-manning all his stock.

I have plaved several orders with them and have never had a problem. Have you tried calling them? Email is not the best solution to your problem. Call them with your order number and shipping information, here's the customer service number. (978)441-9595

17 days may actually not be all that bad.....Customs between the US and Canada may put a week in there as delay from a standard of 10 working days snail-mail. From what I know, most package mail is x-rayed if it originates from a listed firm that offers goods that are in some manner restricted. I rather doubt it in this case however.
Some time back when pharmaceuticals were being sold via the internet FROM CA to the US there was a huge back-log of package mail but that was going FROM Canada to the US. TTBOMK that does not exist on something as innocuous as lock picks. But it would depend on the return address I suppose... "Psychotic Terrorist Wholesale Supplies", "Pathological Delinquent Sales", or "Sociopath's Wonder-World" may attract undue scrutiny. :D
I think you got good advice there; Email them and if no response try it again. I doubt anyone would jeopardize their business for a few dollars.

Have you called them? I gave you the number a week ago. I don't want to start a war here but perhaps your time would be better spent contacting the company about the problem that asking everyone here about the shipping policies of a company we don't run.

Yes actually! You do have fellow lock pickers in Van. I am in West Vancouver and have bought several sets of picks and a snap gun from them. The shipping time is about 2 weeks from what I have found.
