Leave the paper clips alone you will only hinder yourself but if you must use such rubbish to poke locks at least do as globallockiy said and prepare the materials,
The price of tooling or the ease of making a decent one should have stopped all this paper clip poking,
Its also a good idea if when making a thread it actually has a point, yours is just a statement and doesnt even ask a question, if you want to make a statement at least make the effort to find the appropreate thread that is already in existance, in your case every other thread seems to be on this subject or bum keys,

If you wear specticles you will probalby have an old pair you can break up but theres not much better alternitive to the good old wiper insert as explained in every post on this site (almost) or in the link ive given you (my www button),
Have fun but i do warn you that messing around with paper clips and pen tops is just that, come back when you seriously want to pick and read up on which tools to buy, if you look around there is a thread on making picks from paper clips but things like that are gimmicks for established pckers, a fun while you drink sort of set of tools if you see what i mean,
