No real set motion. I simply use the technique that is getting me the most feedback from the lock. I do however start with light tension and light raking and then pay attention for set wafers. If later on most are set but the lock is still not opening I either go in with a hook pick and finish the lock off or I will start to use more of a rocking style motion with the rake. As with any lock, different methods will yield the best results from one lock to the next.
