Looks like just a dimple lock. Do a search on them and you will find quite a few resources on the forum. Usually you cnt pick them with normal picks but tools for them are made easily.

There's no specific forum here for dimple locks (they're not restricted to any of the Advanced forums). This Google search might help:

http://www.google.com/search?q=dimple+l ... ing101.com

If those links aren't of help, please post some cut-away pictures after you resort to using the C4...

is it me or does that keyway look like Mul-t-lock Original?

I know that patent expired so everyone is making telescoping pin locks now.

Is that still considered a dimple lock? or a pin-in-pin dimple lock... hmm

In my brief search for info on these locks, all I could turn up is a broken (no longer available) YouTube video of someone picking one.

Before you pick a lock:
The first thing that you should do is check to make sure that
the lock is your's and secondly make sure its not in use.

You tube

Postby raimundo » 21 Dec 2007 8:47

there are a lot of lockpicking videos on You tube, most are crap about picking fourpin master stuff, but there are some where locks such as this are being picked, look for El Gorgon s videos, or wzlom or sochilons, these and some others may show you a similiar keyway being picked, its a good lock to have and if you are not impatient, you will eventually pick it, usually there are picks such as souber tools or the matador pick or that pick that someone is using on a multilock that appear to do it fairly quickly. some of these special picks you can make copies of yourself with just files, and some mini hacksaw blades or sweeperbristle metal stock.

It does look like a multilock keyway, but it also looks a bit like other european dimple keyways.

dont kill the lock with your C4

forgot,

Postby raimundo » 21 Dec 2007 8:48

I forgot to mention that some of the videos show someone picking dimple locks with a deforest pick, if you have one, sand those sharp edges round before attemping it. if it becomes stuck, you will need to insert another hook to lift pins and free it.

Rai, I think the reason why it is called a deforester is because of the way it is shaped. Remember, you were talking about how you didn't understand why it was called that? Well it looks like something that you would use to de-forest an area. Like a shrub cutting tool.
