The trouble is that the cam on the back is for a mortise lock installation, and there is no way to attach a rim lock tailpiece. I need to install this in a door with an existing rim lock, so a way had to be found to mate the two parts together.
The plug installed in this lock is clearly meant for mortise use, but a Dremel tool quickly converts the cam to accept a rim cylinder tailpiece.
