i too am NVQ Assessor ( D32 , D33 units ) im also an internal and external qualified assessor.
the city and guilds is not offered in 2 weeks but in just 1 day, it involves assessments in 12 core tasks, ie , health and safety , preparing the work area , tidying up properly etc, not in locksmithing.
the certificate is whats known as an inhouse portfolio certificate, it is recognised only by the company that the candidate is trained for and is non transferabe, it costs approx £90, though the firm offering it charge £1100 for it.
the reason this particular case could lead to refunds , is that the company offering the certificate are not c & g accredited, which means they cant actualy offer this certificate, though do.
this certificate is endorsed by city and guilds , but is an intro to the workplace assessment, and not to be confused with a full city and guilds qualification.
its no more than a clever marketing ploy by the training company involved, and at the end of the day a worthless bit of paper, that wont get you employment in this country, let alone over 120 countries as advertised.
any piece of paper that offers you a qualification in just 1 day is pointless, a true nvq takes between 16 weeks and 5 years dependent upon industry, the only genuine training organisation to offer a new NVQ is the MLA , dont be fooled by cheap unrecognised copies.
