Hello from the beaches of sunny Queensland, Australia.

I found this website while researching background for my latest, and sure to be best, novel. I'm not a lockpicker, I'm a writer and as a writer of fictional stories I often need to describe procedures that most people aren’t familiar with.

For example, in the latest story my hero has cause to 'borrow' a motorcycle. He could, I suppose, simply tear off the locking mechanism, cross the red wire to the black wire and kick start the machine. Probably not likely and most readers would know that. To make it read with some degree of authenticity I'd like to write a paragraph, a short paragraph, on how he uses a piece of wire (or something) to bypass the key switch.

I don't want to know how to that illegal act, merely to have a paragraph on how my hero does it.

Any help in this direction will be appreciated and will allow you to put my name on your Christmas gift list.

Stay warm ... I think I'll go down to the beach now and look at all the pretty girls ...

G'day to all,

I'm a bit of jack of all trades and have been picking for about a year.

I look forward to meeting lots of new faces and sharing new ideas.

Yet another bloke from Ontario.

Hello everyone.

I've been interested in computer security for years and that interest has finally expanded to physical security and locks in particular.

Just discovered your site; really excited about examining it and learning from it. Just started: not much good. A little discouraged at the time it takes me to pick. Hoping to learn.

Ive been lurking around for a while now.

My name is Frank Holdburg and I am a 100% honest and clean person. I enjoy the challenge of picking some locks but some just get to me and I throw em in a river haha. I live in Anchorage alaska and do all kinds of stuff like hunting, fishing, snowboarding, and I wrestle for a college in Oregon.

I hope to get really good at lockpicking and maybee participate in a locksport convention or something.

Thanks for looking!

Hello

I just joined this form, and after reading some of the tutorials etc. was able to pick a Masterlock 140 padlock. I've been able to repeat the feat fairly regularly since then, sometimes with more luck than other times.
