If it is anything like the wood handled picks I have made I hope you have lots of space in your tool case so it doesn't get dinged up. Also not the most practical since it's like trying to get feedback through a wood block.

Agreed. The wood is not the best choice for feedback. I think this could be largely negated with some harder wood. This one was made with 7 layers of birchwood ply. There is wood glue between each layer and a line of JB Weld running the length of the pick inside. The outside has a couple coats of clear gloss polyurethane. So for being made of wood, it's pretty solid. But yah, echo through the wood is a little muffled.
