Hi, I'm new to this art form. I had a lockpicking set from a year ago and now i'm actually using it. It has to be one of my favorite hobbies. I'm from a suburb of Detroit,MI. Dearborn actually. I hope to stay on these forums because its a great site to be on. Especially because there is barely any flaming.

Hi everyone,

I have been reading this board quite a while, but have yet to post. So, I thought I would introduce myself. I'm a lock hobbyist in the Boston area, and would like to become a locksmith as some point. I have about five months experience with picking. I look forward to contributing to the board.

Hi Everyone!

Just found this board, searching the net about Locks and reviews on Locksmithing schools. Currently enrolled in Penn-Foster. I am a retired Police Officer and am working full time at a Sheriff's Office as a Computer Tech. Looking into being a part-time lockie, specializing in residential and light commercial. So Far, the course is pretty average (just starting Mod 2), but I have an interest in mechanical things and like to see how they work.

Hello All,
I finally got around to posting here and at a couple of other forums after lurking for a few weeks. I've been picking on and off for years now, but I'd still consider myself a beginner. I can handle a standard 5 pin tumbler without any security pins, but beyond that I'm quickly in over my head. I'm looking forward to learning a lot from this site.

Hi guys

Postby david7 » 7 Sep 2008 14:35

Just got on the forum.

I am a construction worker and I have seen too many locks destroyed cause somebody forgot the key!

I have even had to drill one out myself recently.

This hobby could save me a little time and money and I could conceivably use the info to help others from time to time.

Have a nice day!

Hi All.

First Post, just to say hi. I am from Nashville, Tennessee and have been picking locks for a few years. My "day job" is in IT, and I'm considering jumping to Safe and Vault work.

Most of my questions will be about training and getting into the business side of locksmithing. I will try to answer whatever questions I can. In the non-lock universe I can help with linux and php questions too.

Hello there.

I'm from a small town in Texas and I've been interested in complex systems for a long time now. I started off with computer security and then picked up locks and safes when I met a man who is Godlike when it comes to cracking safes, locks, etc... The guy broke some records and worked for the government.

I love learning and helping others who want to learn (so few!). This site is great, by the way. A lot of really helpful people and threads. I've lurked here for a while before registering.

Apparently I have a lot in common with ElizabethGreene. :-D I, too, can help with PHP/Linux questions or any questions regarding computer security. If I don't know, maybe I can help you find the answer.
