Um... Regalis... I believe you are sadly mistaken. At least in the United States.
While some crimes will disqualify you from some jobs and a felony arrest (even without conviction) can preclude you from obtaining some levels of clearance, a simple criminal record does NOT automatically disqualify you from work in law enforcement, in government or in the military.
An arrest for petty position of cannabis is so commonplace and trivial among many age groups and other demographics.
I speak from personal experience when I tell you that you can have a past (non-felony) criminal history and not only enter the military but also work in law enforcement and work for the government - including holding very, very, very high security clearance.
It's not all as black and white as some people like to think. How many people do you know who grew up straight as an arrow, never getting in any trouble at all and then when they become adults decide that a career as a CIA operative or other clandestine, covert operations activity where they are likely to get "wet" is the thing for them?
