I forgot to mention that the actual cylinder will be cutaway also so you can see the false sets on the discs.

I cut the slug earlier today. Only used a cut off wheel & a file to see how it holds up (will use the mill to do it precise on later models). http://img19.imageshack.us/img19/1328/cimg5616oi9.jpgDoing pretty good i think! I'm going to attempt another cut out likethis, but on the other side... then it will look like the discs are floating

That is called a 'classic'. I think that the classic is pretty much unchanged from the original Abloy disc design when it was conceived. Also, I'm pretty sure you can fit the protect cylinder & discs into the 330 body as they do bother types on that model. One more thing, there are a lot of cuts on my abloy which arn't meant to be there.... it is purely a practice lock for cutting away to see how much material i can remove. If you have a look at the picture below, you will see how I want it cut on the next model. http://img12.imageshack.us/img12/6486/cimg5617fa8.jpghttp://img12.imageshack.us/img12/1888/cimg5618ak7.jpgAlso, there will be a very narrow slit across the top to shoe the ball bearings in their tracks..... that will be done last.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention........ measure for the locking bar at least 5 times, because if you get it wrong the lock is useless. You must have AT THE VERY LEAST 1.5mm on each end inside the case of the pad.
Obviously the above only applies if you will be milling out the recess the locking bar sits in. I'm doing it because I want the discs exposed on all sides.

I had three, Two of which i removed the grub screw from to dismantle.... I sold the other one cos i was short on cash. I have 1 modified (the one in the pics) and another one dismantled, but not machined. Its marked up ready to be routed like the pic of the one above with the black tape on it. There is also going to be some long slits on the top under the shackle to show the ball bearings.

Greetings from the Ministry of Disinformation Control. mr_chris79, your keyway/key is called Abloy Profile. Abloy Classic was the true half moon shape. peace. Squelchtone

Thanks for correcting me. I wasn't 100% sure. Either way, the lock bodies don't differ from each other.
