Previously, i dont give so much attention with my pick handles, they seems ok for me, until i was picking a sargent mortise cyl. that took me so long and wasnt successful in picking it. i look for an alibi to myself. maybe my picktool was not so corportable. so with lot of brass sheets file in the shop (1mm x 100mm x 300mm)i decided to fabricate a handle. with a measurement of: 1mm(thickness) x 12mm(width) x 100mm(lenght) and now i said i dont have any more alibi. try to pick the stubborn sargent cyl. and with luck, this time i did it. i realize, the weight is right, the width and the lenght suite my "feel". if you think it might work for you try to make one too. here is the picture.
