This isn't exactly about picking a lock, but I thought someone here might be able to help. Today I bought a Brinks resettable combination lock (Amazon page: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000P3ZJF8/ref=asc_df_B000P3ZJF81064403?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&tag=dealt414104-20&linkCode=asn&creative=380341&creativeASIN=B000P3ZJF8). The combination is set at 0 0 0 0 to start with, and when I tried to change it, something went wrong. The hasp will not lift up; it is stuck in the "down" position. I can turn it from side to side but I can't lift the hasp up to lock it. I can't change the combination because the top three wheels won't turn, and the last one only turns with difficulty. I searched Google and found someone with a similar problem, and they really did a better job explaining what is wrong than I can:

"I have this lock and for some reason it is stuck in the open position. It will only turn in the "down" position and this will not clear the top of the lock to allow me to close it. Nothing seems to work, including resetting the combination as noted above. The lock worked fine for a few days (it's almost new) but is now, of course, useless. Anyone have any ideas (aside from returning the lock)"
I have messed with it quite a bit, even tried throwing it (just in case something inside was stuck you know
