This weekend I picked up two new padlocks to practice on. Both look very similar:
Brinks:

http://www.masterlock.com/apps/masterlo ... l|securityBoth cost about the same, $20 each, and state they secure padlocks, but that's where the similarities end.
I tried the Brinks lock first, since it was only zip tied to a cardboard back, and could be returned if it was to easy to pick. So far I have only managed to set 3 or 4 pins before I loose track of where I am in the cylinder. It also feels like all 6 pins are serrated.
Today, I thought I would bring the Master 6230to work with me to work on during my break. Now I am no master of Pick-Fu, but I have to say the Master 6230 was rediculously easy to pick. I was able to pick it in less than a minute using a short hook.
Closer inspecion reveals there are only 5 pins, none of which are serrated! What a rip-off!
