To every action there is always an equal and opposite reaction: or the forces of two bodies on each other are always equal and are directed in opposite directions.
However, I'm not really a physics guy so I'm having some issues with this. I can see it being the case with a padlock rapping attack, for example, but not bumping. Wouldn't bumping (and pick guns) be taking advantage of the law of conservation of linear momentum? See this link.
