Hello, this is my first post, though I've been interested in locks for awhile.
Looking for feedback on this idea:
A pick is held steady in a lock as if with a vise.
It can be moved inward and outward and rotated up and down, as if on a lever(using dials for precise movement)
These movements are measured in micrometers to receive information about the pins.
The rotation of the cylinder is also measured to register the setting of pins(like with a spirit level)
I'm thinking there's a locksmithing tool like this, since locksmiths have calipers and stuff.
