Actually the customer wasnt interested in getting anything new. He just wanted it rekeyed because he had someone quit. he really didnt even want to do that. my guess is at one time he wanted them all keyed alike and the last locksmith probably had a cylinder but no deadbolt and did the best he could.

I agree fully. It is by far better. often cheaper too. but like I said this conversion was rugged.
