Axminster Sieg X2 - this kind of caper
http://www.siegind.com/imageRepository/ ... 1e4ee4.jpgI've had mine a few years now, bout 5 I think? And let me tell you, she's loose as an old goose! Lots of table backlash, my vice is worn, the vertical axis has about 1mm play, the tables are stiff, and the potentiometer is somewhat temperamental so just getting the machine to start is a pain (I have a method where I hit it and it starts to work).
Still a good mill for the money and work I've done with it, you tend to grow with the machines faults as they develop so it's not a problem to me. If anyone else got on it to have a go, well that would be a different story! I don't think there would be much of any locks left in the vice if they tried to use it as intended :p
