C-Clip of a door lock

Hello all expert,

My client said the C-Clip of the door lock(tubular or deadbolt) is difficult to remove in order to remove the pin core from the cylinder.
However, I dont really understand exactly where the C-clip is located...can anymore else provide a picture or diagram showing me where it is please....

getting them on without the spring-pliers is a pain, but getting them off is a matter of removing your knuckles while applying a LOT of force with a flat screwdriver to one of the ends of the "C" - just when it pops loose you will inevetably wreck your knuckles *on the pushing hand* on something
