Any of those are very nice locks. I would next be looking if there are any locksmiths in your area who can handle them.

Use the search button at the top of the page. Each of those locks have threads here, some of them have numerous threads. Which is best depends on what your requirements are. If you read the threads, they will answer your questions. A simple explanation of each lock would take a lot of time to write, and the information has already been written.

You can also try this link.

Was just browsing the site, and found a lock here on LP101 that would likely meet your needs.

You can change out the euro-profile portion of the lock in minutes, so you can easily put in another lock, and rotate which lock you use randomly. Also, the lever portion is rekeyable, so you can change that key, too. Not likely someone will be opening both sections, and good luck to anyone who tries kicking in your door.

Is someone really breaking into your place or did you just make that up as a story so we would give you the best advice on which deadbolt to get for your place? The best deadbolts are $200-$300 dollars and then you have to install it. No offense but having described your current situation, are you ready to go spend $250 on a Medeco, BiLock, Mul-T-Lock or Abloy deadbolt?

the guys in the flower delivery van with all the antennas on it parked across the street made me ask you this.

First : No need for the Caps
Wow man

You could have just posted it normally :p instead of all that.
The ironic thing is, that i think this thread gave you more information than the other one!

But yeah, if you really have no budget, i would go with Medeco, really high security stuff. Or Schlage. Any anti-bump lock with serrated/mixed security pins and maybe a paracentric key way would be considered "high security" in my book.

Go Medeco. Extremely pick resistant. I would go as far to say pick proof. Medeco had a bounty out on its own lock for years. As I recall it was $10,000.00 for anyone that could pick their lock twice within a 24 hour period. It was never collected on! If you ever have the chance to see the lock in pieces and shown how it works you would completely agree on it never being picked.

The only way you could get by it was to destroy it. get out the rotary pick ( The Drill with a carbide drill bit )

Medeco locks are great....but they are no where near pick proof. Pick resistant, yes. There are members here that have/can pick Medeco locks. If you search the internet you can find plenty of uncut videos and articles detailing not only picking Medecos but exploiting design flaws present in certain models.

There are also some misconceptions when it comes to the "bounty". I share this post by MBI that explains it better than I ever could.

Being a Bilock dealer, of course I will always recommend Bilock over others, but i really like the Scorpion too. It is quality hardware. Medeco is (as others here know me) in my opinion, overpriced and not worth it.

Protec is tops though, in my opinion.

Bilock Quick Change Core locks make it convenient to have extreme security and quality with the ability to rekey without complete lock removal.

The other benefit is that with Bilock you can often retrofit the cylinders into many leading brands of hardware without requiring to purchase dedicated Medeco or Scorpion hardware.
