Start using and recommending quality products and toss the cheap arsed bastards (customers) to the curb. They are not worth the trouble or headache.

I just re-stocked on some Schlage B560x613 deadbolts and the retail cost is over $70
I don't think they are worth half that and I also bought some import copies of the same lock
that sell for $30. This way my client has a variety of choices, as I also stock Baldwin,ASSA and Medeco
I sell a Medeco lock a couple times a year, the import cheap crap sells far more often and it makes
my competition look bad, cause they only carry the expensive schlage locks, so my bill comes out to
less money. In 25 years of work in my area, I haven't once had a client be angry cause I saved them money
(except for when I use those import latches that break)
There are many ways to do good business and I'm soo glad to be self-employed, instead of having a monkey on my back, sucking the fruits of My labor, I mean a boss
Victory when you get the funds, you may enjoy buying a few of the more expensive brands, some clients want the same more expensive lock they might have on all their other doors plus, if you do make the sale on a $35 schlage lock and You are doubling your money, that's an easy extra $35. You get to know your clients, some won't spend to save their life, others demand the best they can get.
