My personal favorite sets are Peterson's Phoenix GSP pick sets, even if I do almost all of my pin-tumbler picking with just their flat-tipped medium hook I like to have a bit of variety for locks which need something a bit different. I have a 'formal dress' set consisting of HPC's blackened steel picks (medium diamond, snake rake, flat medium hook) and some Peterson tension tools, my normal set which is mostly Peterson tools with a couple of Southern Specialties rakes and unbranded bogatas, and then my oddities set which is a mix of Peterson and Southern Specialties which has my least used picks and most of my bypass tools.
I really could do just about all of my pin-tumbler picking using just the three HPC tools (they have held up well over many years of use) but I prefer my Peterson tools most of the time.
