A friend of mine gave me his old grill for scrap metal. His father secured it years ago with a huge steel cable and this padlock and they lost the key. They cut the cable and brought me the grill. Funny thing was the ring in the pics was secured to the grill, one end of the cable slipped over the ring and the other end secured in the lock fastened to the ring. They were saying what a pain in ass it was for two people to hold and cut the cable with a saws-all, as I reached under the grill, found the nut on the back of the ring, and unscrewed it with my fingers dropping it from the grill. Both of them were not too happy about that.

But I got a free lock out of it!!! I was wondering if anyone had any info. I saw one picture on the net calling it "a classic". Is that the series? I'm still stuck on American Locks, So I doubt I will be able to pick this any time soon. But if I was able to pick it one day, is the core removable? Could I make a key for it if I was able to open it? And does that sticker have anything to do with the lock? It says: MAO527315.
Any help appreciated.
