Picked this up at the flea market this weekend.
The guy that found it for me said he got it off an old army footlocker from a storage unit but doesn't have any idea of how old it is. At least it is old enough to be made in the USA.

The brass must have a tonne of copper in it cause the whole thing is colored like a penny. It is super heavy too. Very noticeable. I weighed this and a modern steel M5 MasterLock that was a little bit bigger. The modern lock weighed 12.5 ounces and this thing weighed 16oz even! A full pound. It has a very strong shackle spring and a very smooth action opening and closing. This is, by far, the best feeling MasterLock I have in my collection. Even the outside of it is super smooth. And it has a sweet key to boot.
Too bad MasterLock doesn't make them like these anymore.
